FairPlay Betting & Casino: Floodlit stadium on a match night

Player, business & press desks

Contact FairPlay

My cousin runs a recharge shop in a lane off Sipri Bazar in Jhansi. One evening he turned his phone round to show me a withdrawal that had not arrived, and three days of messages sent to an address he had copied off a comparison blog. His real question was never about the money. It was: who do I even tell? That is the question this FairPlay contact page exists to answer.

Where It Lands

The desk decides how long you wait

Nothing vanishes because it went to the wrong place. It sits in a queue that cannot act on it, sometimes for days, while everybody involved behaves reasonably. Here is how to skip that.

The shop is two minutes from the crossing, and by seven in the evening it is mostly a place where people come to top up a number and stand under the fan for a while. That is where I was when he showed me the screen. Say the amount was ₹4,200. It had left the account on a Sunday, it had not reached the bank, and in the three days since he had written twice to an email address he found through a search and once under a public post on social media.

Both of those were honest attempts. Neither was ever going to get him his money back, and it is worth being exact about the reason, because the reason is not that anybody was ignoring him.

What actually happens to a message in the wrong queue

A message about held money that arrives anywhere other than chat lands in front of somebody whose job is contracts, or media, or something with no connection to player accounts at all. That person cannot see his balance. They cannot see the withdrawal reference, the name of his bank, or the fact that the surname on the account carries an extra letter that the bank does not have. So they do the only thing open to them. They recognise it as a player matter and hand it on.

The handover is not instant. It happens when somebody reads the inbox, which might be that afternoon or the next morning, and then the message joins the back of the queue it should have started in on Monday. Three days of silence is not three days of nobody caring. It is a Sunday problem taking the long way round the building.

Now put the same problem through the door built for it. He signs in, opens chat from inside the account, and the conversation arrives with the account already attached — no number to read out, no surname to spell over a shop counter with a customer waiting. The agent has the withdrawal on screen before he has finished typing his first line. If the hold is a mismatch between the name on the account and the name on the bank, they can say so immediately. If the delay sits on the bank side, they can hand him a reference to quote at the branch. Same person, same ₹4,200, same evening. Different door, different week.

He had a good reason for choosing badly, and it is the commonest one there is. He had changed phones, he was signed out, and the door he needed was behind the login he could not get through. So he searched instead, and the search gave him an address. That sequence is worth remembering, because it is where most misrouted messages come from — not carelessness, just a locked door and a search box.

A sponsorship deck in the player queue is a slow sponsorship deck. The agent who can trace a UPI reference has no authority to price a commercial deal, so the message has to be recognised for what it is, moved, and then picked up cold by somebody on another team. Days pass and nobody has done anything wrong. It fails just as badly in reverse: held money sent to a business address waits behind proposals when what it needed was somebody who could open the account there and then. The desks are not ranked. They are built for different work, and each is poor at the other one.

The Six Doors

Six ways in, and what each one is good at

Four belong to players and two belong to everybody else. The waiting time attaches to the route you chose, not to how politely you asked.

Live chat

Opens from any page once you are signed in, and it carries the account along with it, so nothing has to be identified first. This is the door for anything happening right now.

Round the clock

WhatsApp

Write from the number the account is registered to and you are recognised on the first message. The pick when a screenshot or a payment reference has to travel with the words.

Round the clock

Email

For documents, for a history that runs across several days, and for anything you may want to quote back later. Put your registered mobile number in the opening line.

Same day

Telegram

Maintenance notices, service updates and announcements, plus extra hands on support through the busy hours that surround a big fixture.

Peak hours

Business and partnerships

Sponsorships, commercial proposals and affiliate applications. A different team from player support, asking different questions and reading different paperwork.

2 working days

Press and media

Reporters, broadcasters and researchers working against a clock. Put the deadline in your first line and it genuinely changes how the message is handled.

1 working day

Read This Twice

The reply that arrives four minutes after you post

A public complaint broadcasts two facts: this person is owed money, and this person has stopped being patient. My cousin learned what that attracts from behind his own counter.

The post he put up from the shop got an answer in roughly four minutes. I do not mention that for effect. It is simply how fast the accounts that watch for those posts move, and four minutes is quick enough to feel like proper service rather than a trap.

The handle was close. Not identical — a doubled letter, or an underscore sitting where none belongs — but close enough that nobody standing in a shop with the fan going and a customer at the counter is going to catch it. The picture was the real logo, lifted straight from the site. The message was polite, apologetic, and used his first name, which he had put in the post himself.

What follows is always the same shape. Move this to a private message. Confirm the mobile number the account is registered to so the case can be pulled up. Now install this small application so the issue can be viewed from our end. Now read out the code that has just arrived. Each step is tiny. Each one sounds like a reasonable extension of the last. By the time anything feels wrong, the code has been said out loud and the money has already moved somewhere else.

The defence is not sharper eyes. Nobody wins that contest for long, because the imitation gets better every season and you are looking at a phone in bad light while a customer waits. The defence is direction. If you opened the conversation, from inside the app or the signed-in site, you know who is at the other end. If the conversation opened itself and arrived at you, it is unverified. It stays unverified regardless of how much the person seems to know, how official the profile looks, or which platform carried it. Shut it, sign in, open a chat from your own account, and ask there whether anybody had reason to contact you.

Our customer support page handles the mirror image of this problem, where the fake number is the one you find yourself while searching for a helpline. Same trick, opposite direction, and between them they cover almost every way this goes wrong in India.

Two things never belong in a message to anybody, on any channel, at any hour: your password, and a one-time code. No genuine agent has ever needed either. An agent can already see the account, which is what makes them an agent, and a one-time code exists for exactly one purpose, which is proving that you and nobody else approved something. Full bank account numbers and photographs of identity documents do not belong in public replies either, even underneath a genuine post. Send those through a private, signed-in route where they can be dealt with and then left alone.

A near-identical handle answering a public complaint. The tell is not the profile. It is that they came to you.

Working out which door is yours

Most contact pages hand you a list and leave the hard part to you. The list is not the useful bit. The useful bit is knowing which line of it your particular problem belongs to, because the teams behind those lines do genuinely different jobs and cannot stand in for one another however willing they are.

Never signed up? Chat is not your first stop

Chat is the right answer to nearly everything on this page, and it carries one honest limitation: it opens from inside an account. If you have not made one, or you are locked out and that lockout is the actual problem, there is nothing to open it from. That is the gap my cousin fell into. The door he needed was behind the login he could not get through, which is why he ended up in a search box instead.

If you have never signed up, read the FairPlay register page before writing to anybody. It goes through what the form asks for and, more usefully, why the name you type has to match the bank account that will eventually receive a payout. Most questions people bring to a contact page before signing up are settled there with nobody having to reply at all. FairPlay India covers the wider picture for players here.

If the account exists and simply will not let you in, the FairPlay login page is the better first read. A fair share of lockouts turn out to be a number typed with a stray country code, or a one-time code going to a handset that was replaced months ago. Only when that has been ruled out is it worth sending a message, and then it goes by email or WhatsApp from the registered number — chat being the one door that needs you already inside.

Act on it now, or put it on the record

The distinction that decides almost every case is whether the thing needs doing or needs documenting. A deposit that has not shown up, an account that will not open, a bet behaving oddly while the match is still running — all of those need an agent with your account in front of them, and that means chat, immediately.

Verification papers, a complaint that unfolded over a week, or anything you might want to quote back later belongs in email or WhatsApp, where the file survives and both sides keep the thread. Neither route is superior. They are answers to different questions, and choosing well is mostly a matter of asking yourself which of the two you actually want.

Round the clock is a claim worth testing rather than taking on faith. Jhansi Junction has trains through it at hours when the rest of the city is shuttered, and somebody standing on that platform with a held payout can open chat and be answered. There is no shutter to come down on it. A payment problem at three in the morning is worked the same way as one at three in the afternoon, which is the only version of that promise that means anything.

The desks players never see

Sponsorship offers, affiliate applications, media requests and anything legal or compliance-related all have their own routes, and using them is faster for everybody including you. Player support carries a heavy load of time-sensitive account work. Putting a commercial proposal into that stream means it waits behind genuinely urgent problems and then gets forwarded anyway, which is the worst of both outcomes.

For journalists in particular, state your deadline in the opening line. The press queue is answered inside a working day precisely because deadlines are short, and a message that says when it needs an answer gets treated according to that. It is the single most useful sentence in the email, and it does not belong in paragraph four.

Say it in the language you argue in

English and Hindi run on every channel at every hour, with Marathi, Bengali, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Gujarati available on live chat and WhatsApp. Open in the one you want and the conversation stays there instead of drifting back into English three replies later.

This counts for most in exactly the conversations people find hardest. Payment problems turn on small precise things — a reference number read back correctly, the exact spelling of a name as the bank holds it — and working through those in a second language piles difficulty onto a situation that is already unpleasant. It was the difference in my cousin's case. The extra letter in the surname was the entire delay, and it took about ninety seconds to establish once somebody could look at both spellings at once.

The same site in Jhansi as anywhere else

People ask this and it is a fair question: is there a Jhansi version of any of it? A separate contact route for a smaller city, a thinner set of markets, a different queue? No. It is one platform. The same markets, the same wallet, the same login screen, the same UPI rails, whether the phone is in a lane off Sipri Bazar or a flat in Andheri, and the desks listed on this page are the same desks for everybody. What the rules where you are permit is a separate question from how the product is built, and it is worth checking that part for yourself.

Three things worth doing before you write

First, look it up. A large share of what reaches an agent already has a published answer with no queue in front of it. The FAQ holds what gets asked most, and between them the deposit and withdrawal pages explain the two subjects people write in about more than everything else put together, including the name-match check behind most held payouts.

Second, find your reference before you open the window. The UTR for a deposit, the withdrawal reference for a payout, the bet ID for a settlement — the bet ID rather than the match name, because two fixtures can look identical in a list and the ID cannot be confused with anything.

Third, write one plain sentence saying what you want to happen. Not what went wrong, which is usually obvious from the reference, but what a good outcome looks like from where you are sitting. The customer support page sets out what each kind of problem needs. Getting that into the first message is generally the difference between one reply and a conversation stretched across a day.

Read all FAQs
My payout has not landed. Which door do I use?

Live chat, opened from inside your own account, and nothing else first. Money that has left one side and not arrived at the other needs somebody who can see the withdrawal reference, the bank name and the spelling on the account, and chat is the only route where they are looking at all three while you type. Bring the reference with you. An email describing the same problem is not wrong, it is simply slower, because the person reading it has to pass it to the desk you could have reached directly.

Why not just send everything by email and be done?

Email is excellent at one thing chat is poor at, which is keeping a dated record with a file attached to it. That makes it right for verification papers, for a complaint that runs across several days, and for anything you may need to quote back. It is the wrong tool for a bet settling oddly while the match is still going, because by the time it is read the situation has changed. Neither channel beats the other. They answer different questions, and picking between them is mostly about whether you need action or a record.

Somebody replied to my public post offering to sort it out. Is that you?

Assume not. The test is direction, and it is the only test that holds up. A conversation you opened yourself, from inside the app or the signed-in site, is one you can trust. A conversation that arrived at you — a reply under your post, a direct message, a phone call, a comment promising to release a held payout — is unverified, however much the person appears to know and however right the profile picture looks. Close it, sign in, open chat from your own account, and ask there whether anybody had contacted you.

So is it a mistake to complain in public at all?

Posting is not the problem. Answering whoever turns up is. A public complaint about held money broadcasts two facts to anybody watching: this person is owed something, and this person has run out of patience. That is precisely the pair of facts an impersonator is looking for, which is why lookalike replies land within minutes rather than hours. Post if you want to. Then take the actual conversation into a chat window you opened yourself, and keep your account number, registered mobile, and any screenshot showing personal detail out of the thread.

What must never go into a message, whatever the channel?

Your password and any one-time code, on any channel, on any day, to anybody. No genuine agent has ever needed either one. An agent can already see your account, which is what makes them an agent, and a one-time code exists for the single purpose of proving that you and nobody else approved something. Full bank account numbers and photographs of identity documents also do not belong in a public reply, even underneath a genuine post. Those travel through a private, signed-in route where they can be handled properly and then left alone.

Can I write in Hindi, or in Marathi, rather than English?

Yes, and it is worth doing. Hindi and English are covered on all six routes at any hour of any day, with Marathi, Bengali, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Gujarati added on live chat and WhatsApp, which comes to eight or more depending on how you count. Say which you want in your opening line and the conversation stays there rather than sliding back into English three replies later. This matters most on payment problems, where a single misheard letter in a surname is the whole delay.

How long should a business or press message take?

Two working days for commercial and affiliate matters, and one for press, because media deadlines are short and cannot be argued with. If you are a journalist, the single most useful sentence you can write is the one that states your deadline, and it belongs at the top rather than buried in paragraph four. Neither of those queues is player support, and sending a commercial proposal through the player route does not speed it up. It adds a handover that nobody needed.

I have not signed up yet. Where does my question go?

Chat opens from inside an account, so before there is an account there is nothing to open it from. Read the FairPlay register page first, because most pre-signup questions are answered there, particularly the ones about why the name on the form has to match the bank account that will eventually be paid out to. If a real question survives that, email is the route, since it does not need a signed-in session to work. Say plainly in the first line that you have not registered.

What should I have ready so it is finished in one reply?

The reference for whatever is stuck, and a plain sentence saying what you want to happen. For a deposit that is the UTR from your banking app. For a payout it is the withdrawal reference. For a bet it is the bet ID, which is more useful than the match name because two fixtures can look identical in a list. Our customer support page sets out exactly what each type of problem needs. Sending it in the first message is usually the difference between one reply and four.
